Where are form and report changes stored?

I've customized some forms and reports and want to back them up with my data files. Are the customizations stored with the data or are they stored somewhere else, such as in "program files".
Can anyone point me where they are stored?
You can export forms from the template list window. You can only export reports if you have one of the Premier versions. At least that was true with the 2003 version.
