Almost every time I switch between companies, or even if I close a company and then attempt to open another, QB freezes, keeps my CPU at 100%.
I have to kill the process, and then it opens OK. However, if I switch companies again, it freezes again.
Any suggestions?

You may want to check your system resources. It sounds like you may be low in available RAM.
