writing checks in quickbooks

Thanks, I'll investigate. Nice to have a first-hand testimonial. The one Allen recommended has check supplies which will save me money (about $60 savings on a 5,000 check order). But the software itself (looking at the comparison of the three versions) appears to require the upgraded one (about $500) to be sufficient.

Exactly, plus the wait time. The biggest fear I had having client pre-preprinted checks here was that of being robbed of them.

Printing your own checks allows you to do the following on short client notice (is there any other kind?).

  1. Change banks
  2. Change client address
  3. Take on a new client and begin right away

Guffaw!!

Where was the spew warning on that?

Now THAT could be an issue, lol.

Yes you get what you pay for PrintBoss rather than PrintBoss Express is the way to go. Also you would probably need to purchase additional bank packs since the program initally comes only with 10. However knowing that the program will always print the correct check automatically reguardless of which bank account or client you issue checks for is well worth it.

Also if any of your clients require Positive Pay files to be sent to their bank the program can create the file for you.

You're point is well taken.

Still, if I had a company that had fifty checking accounts, I believe I'd have more to worry about - like when the feds were going to catch on to my Ponzi scheme.

Called Hollywood. Holding company.

No, more like 50 companies each with one checking account.
