A friend tried to install Quicken deluxe 2005. which should have uninstalled Quicken 2004. Something happened during the uninstall and now he cannot uninstall 2004 or install 2005. I have made a copy of the Quicken Data files (floppy disks) for him
How does he get 2004 to uninstall and then install 2005? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
BTW, I live in an adult community and help people with their computer problems as a hobby. This one has me stumped for the moment..

I changed the name of the incomplete 2004 directory and was able to install 2005. Opened the 2004 backup data files in 2005 and it looks like everything is ok. Will wait until my friend uses 2005 for a few weeks before deleting what is left in the 2004 directory.
