adding Reminder for auto-dep Mutual Fund

I use Quicken 2012 for mostly all my Investments, along with checking accounts and recently tracking Chase Billpay.

Anyway - my wife has a 403b, with auto-deposit into a Fidelity mutual fund.

I would like to use the "Reminder" file to track and match the auto-deposit. I can't seem to get the Reminder to acknowledge the deposit transaction. Of course it comes across, like any mutual fund purchase, as "Shares Purchased".

Is there any way to contruct a "Reminder" that will "match" the auto-deposit transaction ?

You'd need to set up a memorized BuyX in the investment account, and then edit that in the checking account to wrap a payroll transaction around it. Biggest problem with that is that even though the $ remains the same ... the # of shares probably changes every time.

Probably easier to just leave it as a transfer/deposit into the 429 and then the separate Buy.

I think you would want to create a "Scheduled Transaction Group" and include the memorized investment transaction in that Group.

And I agree that it's probably not worth the effort, since it will require modifying the resulting investment transaction each time.

tnx - yeah - I'll just leave it...

The school district submits a "paper register" to Fidelity and mails it to them for all enrolled in their 403b plan.

Sometimes the mail gets there late, gets returned for some reason, or .... whatever - so I have been "tracking" the deposits and then just click "skip" on the Reminder - setup for every 2 weeks -
