Are there any Smith Barney users out there?

I've been a client of Smith Barney for almost 15 months now and have been having incredible problems with Access (their Web site) and their proprietary performance reports (Orion). Worst is that the way they have implemented their interface to Quciken (I've used both 2005 and

2006) is driving me crazy. I've been told that very few of their client are unhappy, that I am unique by being impacted by these issues, but also that very few of their clients use their Quicken interface. I find that very hard to believe, except that when I search this group for "Smith Barney" I get very few hits, so I have two simple questions:

  1. How many users are their of Smith Barney/Quicken?

  1. How happy are you as a user?

TIA

I've only been a client for a couple of months; not much time for an evaluation. (I was a Legg Mason customer, now absorbed into Smith Barney.)

I have had no trouble accessing my account information online (didn't even notice that the name of the web site was Access) - though I don't like their rules for establishing passwords. I have not used anything called "Orion".

My downloads (One Step Update) have been problem free (Legg Mason only offerred Web-Connect downloads, also problem free). By problem free, I don't mean they always send transactions/holdings as I think they should be sent ... but I have found that true of virtually every brokerage/mutual-fund company I download from, and the "problems" I see are not major. So far SB seems to be at least as good as the rest.

I am not sure I will like all the details of the way SB does business, but need more time to really evaluate that. There were some relatively minor glitches in the transfer of assets, but nothing I have seen so far to get me upset.

I was a client of Smith Barney for years and never had any problems accessing their website or downloading using One Step Update.

At the end of last year I changed to Bear Stearns because my broker changed firms. Since Bear Stearns does not support Quicken, I now find it more difficult to update my account.
