Is there a way to get more than one automatic update each day? We need one early in the morning to get the previous day's activities. During the day we do things such as writing checks and we need an update at the end of the day to push those out.

I must be missing something. I see only one time box, but I need two.
Perhaps you could use some automation software, like AutoHotKey, or AutoMate. It could perform the mouse clicks and keystrokes for you, just as if you were sitting at the keyboard.
