Best way to enter variable paycheck?

My wife works from 16 to 36 hours per week - at the same rate.

What's the best way to set up a paycheck? I entered them manually last year, and missed a few because of the time involved.... Not too late to start doing it right this year!

Thanks!

I have direct deposit for my supposedly non-variable pay, but somehow they manage to be off on a mostly every period basis. I have a paycheck transaction that automagically gets entered. Thus when the bank reports deposit I have to correct the amounts. It's a pain, but easier than entering everything anew.

I agree with Han's approach. Setup her paycheck and specify the interval that she gets paid so you get reminded each week, two weeks, month, whatever. When you setup her paycheck include the splits for the various deductions. Then each time she gets a paycheck you can just enter, or edit, the various amounts. Should be pretty simple once you've set it up the first time.
