browser download from within Quicken?

I am using Quicken Deluxe 2005.

One of my credit cards requires a browser download (webconnect?). That is I need to go to go to its website, login, click on account #, click on "View Statement", Click on Download data, Use Webconnect after which the data goes directly into Quicken.

Is it possible to do all this from within Quicken Update like I do with my other accounts?

Here's what I do with Q2006 (I don't recall whether Q2005 is the same): When I have the account open, I click on the download button at the bottom of the account page. That opens Quicken's browser within Quicken. Inside that browser I type in the name, password, etc; download the data. Then it automatically flows into the account.

It's not part of the Update feature per se.

Thanks. I'll try that.

If you download from a browser outside Quicken, you are (or should be) given the option to Save/Run/Cancel the download. Selecting Run will have the same effect.

Right. I do that as well sometimes. The option though is "open," not "run." If you open it, it flows directly into your account. I assuming saving and opening later would do the same thing, but I haven't tried that with this version of Q. I've done it with earlier ones, though.

That is how I normally do it, but I was looking for a way to do it from within Quicken itself, hopefully at the same time as all the other downloads when I use the one click update. But it looks like I need to do this account separately (either from within Quicken or through an external browser) instead of in unison with all the others.

Some financial institutions do not offer One Step Update downloads. Some fi's offer them but have special requirements to qualify for them, such as fees, or minimum balances. You should plan to check with the specific fi in these matters ... though you can get in inkling by checking your Quicken "Participating Financial Institutions" list.
