One of my credit cards requires downloads through webconnect which I can do from within Quicken by clicking download when that account is open. Since it can be done from within Q, why can't it be made part of the "Update" that downloads all account transactions from the other financial accounts?
usually two different financial systems are involved. web connect - passive "download" using a browser + downloaded file online update - goes thru a Quicken protocol server to access & download the transactions
Sometimes the "online" version requires a fee or other special account status. Which CC is the webconnect ?
Thanks for the reply. The Credit card is a AAA Visa CC that is run by BankofAmerica.com. When - within quicken - I click on that card's account's "download transactions", Quicken opens its own browser, connects me automatically, and gets me to the login page. So, it seems to me that if it can do all that, it could easily include that process in the "One Step Update" instead of requiring a separate step. But apparently it cannot or I do not know how to include it.
You need Quicken 2007 to have Express Web Connect's One Step Update download of BoA's AAA cards.
Even then, you will probably only get end of billing period complete statements, not current transactions.
