downloading transactions for only one account?

I have Quicken 2006 Deluxe in which I have several active investment accounts with Smith Barney. It seems that when I have one of these accounts open and then click on the button at the bottom of the page to download transactions, Quicken downloads all transactions for all accounts that I hold with Smith Barney not just for this one. Is there a way to have Quicken only download new transactions of one investment account without the others?

I don't think so: I think Direct Downloads always download all accounts at a given financial institution that have the same logon.

I think the only way it would be possible would be if the fi offered Web Connect downloads AND allowed the selection of individual accounts for those Web Connect downloads.

Smith Barney doesn't offer Web Connect Downloads.

USAA offers Web Connect downloads, but they always download all investment accounts in a given Web Connect download.

Vanguard offers Web Connect downloads, and they offer the ability to select any combination of accounts to download for a Web Connect download.

Jeff, Here's another way. Deactivate direct connect for all accounts within Smith Barney except the one you want to download to. Do the download to that account. Reestablish the other accounts as needed.

AFAIK, you can do that by de-activating other accounts in Quicken. However, you'd likely see pop-ups asking if you want to download additional data. Of course, you'll need to re-activate those other accounts later when you're ready to download their transactions.
