Calendar in '05 vs '01

In Quicken 2001 I was very accustomed to having a calendar view that I customized to show scheduled transactions only. This was the 1st screen that I saw when Quicken was started and gave me a nice graphical view of what needed attention. I could then click on any scheduled transaction in the calendar and quickly make a payment.

Now that '01 is "sunseted" I've "upgraded" to '05 and find that that view is gone. Granted, a view can be created to show a calendar, but all that view does is show grayed out dates that have scheduled transactions. You then have to click on a date to open up (in a separate window) a calendar view where the details are visible in each date.

I find this annoying for two reasons; the 1st is that I like having that "snapshot" of what was upcoming. The 2nd reason is the "unnecessary" steps to get to this view.

Am I the only one who has noticed this and is unhappy with it? I think I'm going to make a request to Intuit for them to "fix" this annoyance, and hopefully I'm not the only one who misses that capability.

I looked at '04 and didn't use it because it was almost to the point of being too cumbersome, '05 seems to be the same. What ever happened to simply managing basic finances? It seems like Quicken is almost at the point where there's more worthless fluff than useable stuff.
