In Q10, in a 1 year rental report, I get the cash flow intermixed with expense displayed instead of separating income and expense. It's the same report with either setting. I don't see any other option except tinker with the "sort", again, with no effect. John Polasek
Can't get "Income and Expense" setting in report

Are you referring to Quicken 2010 Property Manager?
No, Quicken 2010. It boxes out each property but lists the income and expense items in calendar/journal order whereas in previous versions I was able to see a separation into an income batch and an expense batch. Toggling the option box has no effect. Thanks John Polasek
Sorry. Let me clarify.
I'm not familiar with a "1 year rental" report.
I understand that you're running Q 2010, but what "flavor" of Q 2010 are you running? (e.g. Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business, or Rental Property Manager)
Next, is "1 year rental" one of Quicken's core reports, or is it a Saved report, where you started with a core Q report, then customized it & saved those settings? If the latter, what is the core report?
I don't know if this will help, but in Q '11 H&B, under the Business grouping, I've got a Cash Flow report. Inflows are at the top & Outflows are below.
You can set the criteria to Yearly & break the columns out by month or quarter, if desired. If I narrow the categories to "Rents Received" (Income) & "Rental Expenses", I get a fairly concise report w/ income at the top & expenses below.

Yes I may be able to use that, although it is awkward whether the tags are assigned as columns or rows. It did show up some discrepancies I need to investigate. Thank you. Still....
