Chase used to charge $9.95/mo or something like that for use of Direct Connect. Since December 14, use of "Personal Financial Software" aka Quicken, Direct Connect is now free for many customers. To check this:
On the chase web page, at the top right under Customer Center Under checking/savings Account Services, right hand column Financial management software Direct Access (mine says activated, but here was the no charge info) I'm in North Jersey, which may make a difference.
