Change account type from Investment to SEP-IRA?

I see how to convert to an IRA account type, but not to a SEP-IRA account type. Is it possible?

I should have added that I am running Quicken 2011 Deluxe, release 8 under Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium

No.

Create a new account of the correct type. Export transactions from the old account to a QIF file.

Then follow the instructions in the link I provided in the earlier discussion in this group, titled "QIF Import - Transfer from account ignored"

I forgot to ask: what do you hope to gain from having a Quicken SEP-IRA account over having a plain Quicken IRA account?

Actually, I had planned to do that very thing, i.e., change it to a regular IRA account. But since there does exist in Quicken a SEP-IRA type of account, I was interested in finding out if such a switch was possible. Since it is not, that is most likely what I will do.

Thank you, John - very helpful as always!
