checking acct - report of deposits

In looking at a Checking account, is there any way to get a summary, or report, or ??? of "deposits" over a given period ?

I didn't see anything at quick glance, since the reports are more geared to the expense side with totals by category, etc -

Hi, ps56k.

I haven't tried to print it or create a Report, but in Q2011 Deluxe, when I display a Checking Account Register, there is a set of 3 drop-down menus at the top left, under the Account name. The middle box says "Any type"; a click on that offers to change to "Payment" or "Deposit".

tnx - that worked just fine -

I mainly use Q2009 for Investments & tracking my Schwab, Fidelity, Trowe & Vanguard funds, and just have the Banking section with checking/savings/CD to get a complete picture. But wanted to see what our son's checking acct looked like after his summer job.

In my Q10 it's a little different. With checking account register open find the word "Show" right in the middle of the status line, the same line that says "account actions" where you will find the two windows for the date and type of report. What you get is a truncated view of the register limited only to deposits, if that's what you picked, so it's not really a report.

There's virtually no difference between the two, except that the 3 Q2011 drop downs have a couple more choices than the 2 Q2010 drop downs.

CTRL+P (or File > Print account name) will produce a report of what is displayed in the register.

And the Banking > Transactions report can select dates, accounts and transaction types (such as Deposits). Transaction type can be selected on the Customize > Advanced tab.
