I prefer the cash flow format where you can 'drill down' for the transaction detail and by default the subcategory totals are displayed and the top level category netted. The Tax Summary Report does not have enough flexibility; i.e., you can only collapse or expand the entire report.

Well unless I'm missing something, the Advanced tab of the Cash Flow report already has that option (as do quite a few other reports). Check the box to use "Tax-related transactions only.
