checking deposit with cashback

Hi Everyone, This may seem like a dumb question. I would like to make a deposit of say $45 to checking and have the bank give me $5 cashback. Is there a way to enter it into my checking register so it shows the $45 income and $5 cashback other than entering the $45 deposit and transfering $5 to the cash account as a separate transaction?

Q2010 Premier WVista.

TIA Tim

So your net deposit is $40? Sure... You enter the $40 as the deposit amount, then split the transaction with $45 shown against an income category and $5 against an expense category. If it's not income (like a rebate check), you enter negative $45 against an expense category and $5 against Petty Cash or Misc Expense or whatever.

I just did this with a 120 deposit and 10 cashback to a "cash" account. Elementary. I should have seen this. Thanks everyone for your help.
