Q2011 Direct Connect Advanced Setup with multiple accounts

My bank just upgraded their bill payment system (which I don't use). Q2011 users were asked to deactivate and reactivate One Step Update for each of their accounts using the Advanced Setup option. This involved changing the name of the financial institution.

When reactivating my checking account Quicken located both it and my savings account, with options to link each to the appropriate Quicken account. I did this, expecting Quicken to activate both accounts for OSU. Instead Quicken showed that only my checking account was activated.

Not liking this I deactivated OSU and started over, expecting both bank accounts to be available to be linked. Instead my savings account was listed as "ignore", probably indicating that it didn't get unlinked from its Quicken counterpart, even though both Quicken accounts showed that OSU was deactivated.

First question: Did Quicken screw up by not unlinking both bank accounts from their Quicken counterparts or did I screw up as a novice user of Advanced Setup?

Second question: Is there a way I could have broken the link between my bank and Quicken savings accounts that was established during OSU setup of my now-deactivated checking account? [I actually fixed the problem by restoring a Quicken backup]

AFAIK, each account is being deactivated individually. It's important to remember that when have multiple accounts in a financial institution under same login.
