Control-F to Find Blank Entries

Using Control "F" in order to find any or all the entries in my bank account which contain "Blank", Quicken always defaults to Date. I would like it to default to All Fields. Is there any way to do this? Thanks for the help!

Actually CTRL+F (Find) defaults to searching in the register field where you leave your cursor ... which is very often the date field.

Since there is no register "field" for "All Fields", there is no way to default to "All fields".

When using CTRL-F within the account register, it appears that the search field defaults to the field the cursor is in. i.e.. If the cursor is in the check number field, the search is on check number, if the curser is on the date, the search is on date... etc. "All fields" may be selected from the drop down.

I know of no method in which "All fields" can be defaulted when using CTRL-F.

If you select Find/Replace from the Edit menu, OUTSIDE of the register (from the cash flow center, for example) THEN the box pulls up with "All fields" as the default. Unfortunately, the CTRL-F option is grayed out from outside the register. I am guessing the code for the search options box is field specific.

Thanks, "L." I appreciate the detailed answer. That helped a lot. Such shortcuts are real time savers.
