I'm using Quicken Premier H&B 2006 and want to create a dummy / phantom investment account that can be tracked and analyized but does NOT get fed into things like net worth, taxes, etc...

It seems like I should be able to do this butttttttttttttttt I'll be danged if I can see how.

Thanks, Jim

Open the Account List and click on the Manage Accounts tab.

There is a box to check for 'Don't Include In Totals' for the account.

Think this will do what you want.

Open the Account List, Manage Accounts tab and "hide" the account.

Some reports, like Net Worth, will allow you to optionally include hidden accounts, but default to not including them. Some reports, like the Tax Schedule, default to including hidden accounts, but you can optionally exclude them.

And of course, you can create your own customized reports with whatever accounts you want included, and "Save" them, and even have a button on the Toolbar to run them.
