delete multiple categories at once

in Q 2004 deluxe (or for that matter in ANY Q product) is there a way to delete MULTIPLE categories at once --- obviously I am ONLY talking about categories that are empty, or is the ONLY way to do this to delete EACH category individually

THE only WAY TO DO THIS IS TO DELETE each CATEGORY INDIVIDUALLY.

I never used Q2004 on a regular basis, only tested with it, and I do not remember how it handled the deletion of categories. But Q2005 and Q2006 permit you to select multiple categories (using Windows selection techniques) and delete them in one step.

And you can delete categories that are used in existing transactions; Quicken will offer you the opportunity to recategorize the transactions for categories you are deleting, if you reject the offer, the transactions will become uncategorized.
