Entering bill payments in Quick06 once only!

Can someone tell me if it's possible to have online bill pay work this way?

(1) I enter the payment manually in Q06 (2) Q06 uploads (by itself) the payment to my bank's online bill pay function and enters it. (3) Or: Q06 uploads (by itself) the entered payment to Q Online Banking and enters it.

Thus I have entered the payment exactly ONCE and it is done.

For years I have been entering duplicate payments, one in my banks internet based online banking program, and one in Money/Quicken (I switched).

I have thought of JUST entering the payments in my online banking acct and then having them automatically downloaded into Money/Quicken, but this doesn't let me see pending payments in M/Q(though I can see them at the bank's site).

Thanks

If your bank offers "direct connect" to Quicken and part of the direct connect service is billpay, then it can work exactly as you envisage. I pay all my bills that way. I do not have Quicken Billpay, but I understand that that is also how it should work if you have QBP when your bank does not offer this service.

With direct connect, if I enter a future payment at my FI's billpay website, the transaction will download into Quicken.

one further query--

if it works this way, one entry, then what happens when you later download the all entries from the bank? would you have a problem with them all matching? or would problems arise because of different names etc.?
