Fidelity ESPP Downloaded Interest Transaction Type

Jan 31, 2006 3 Replies

My Fidelity ESPP interest is being downloaded as a "Deposit" rather than "IntInc". I assume this is incorrect, and if so, is there anything in Quicken that controls this designation? Or is my issue with Fidelity?

Thanks, Pete

I'm pretty sure your issue is with Fidelity; but it is verifiable. You can check what was downloaded if you look in the OFXLog after your Fidelity download. (You can save the log to a disk file and open it in a word processor to make it easier to scan ... and depending on how friendly the OFX formatting is, you might want a word processor that will allow you to replace unprintable characters, like Word).

John, monthend interest posted last night & I verified the TRNTYPE as "DEP". I've emailed Fidelity.

Thanks!

Ahh... adventures in customer service. I used their online cutomer support & got a response of "After reviewing our database on this subject, it appears that the Quicken download is working properly at this time." . After expressing my displeasure with the response, I was refered to their telephone support where the rep first insisted the problem was with Quicken's interpretation of the download. After a bit of persistence and my reference to my other brokerage's downloads that "interpret" just fine, the rep admitted they've received this complaint previously and promised to forward my concern to the appropriate folks. Oh well, at least the maual fix is pretty simple.
