How to fix corrupted transaction

In one of my investment accounts register, I have a transaction dated in 2003 that is entered as price $1 shares 25,000 (numbers are an example) for an investment amount of $25,000.00. This is correct.

However, when I view this same transaction in the portfolio view, the lot is listed as Price $1 shares 22,000.06 investment amount as 953,252.60

I have tried deleting and reentering the transaction, validated the file with no success in correcting this computation. When the transaction is deleted, quicken adjusts the value as if the investment amount of $953,252.60 was deleted. Anyone have ideas how to get quicken to reset its calculation of this transaction.

I have not figured out how to move all of the transactions to a new investment account to see if that would fix the problem.

There is a method to recalculate your investment register. See if this link helps.

It worked. Thanks.

This was a 401K type account but the instructions say that we should not perform a recalculation on this type account. Since it was a copy of my original account, I gave it a try anyway. I am afraid to start using this file because of any unknown long-term effects. I will have to keep two files until I think it is safe.
