Quicken 2006 pre-order on Amazon.com

Jul 11, 2005 22 Replies

I am looking at an Amazon.com web page for Quicken Deluxe 2006. The page says that the software will be released on August 5, and the price is $59.99.

I don't know if this link will work, but here it is:

The web page also says "Includes all features in Quicken 2005 Premier" I don't know whether this is true or not. It appears that Intuit is simplifying its product line by eliminating Premier in 2006.

Well it better have all the features of Premier then, cuz I love Premier!!! :-)

Margaret

I just looked at the Amazon site and found the following links:

"Includes all features in Quicken 2005 Premier"

Ok then, that's worth 80 bucks right there...

30? Where?

I see "$79.99."

Notan

Depends on basic vs. Premier I'd guess...

Yes, Premier is $80. I think Basic is $30.

from the original post works for me! You sure you're typing it in correctly? The full URL resolves to :

the headline on the page reads "Quicken Premier 2006 [Personal Finance Software]"

Pardon, me folks, but what side of the dateline are you searching on Amazon?

While I got to the Amazon "Quicken Deluxe 2006" page from the URL in the original post for this thread, I have only been able to slog from the Amazon home page through to a passel of offerings, the most recent one of which is Q 2005.

Appreciate your guidance.

Jay

From my post dated07/11/2005:

The whole Quicken line:

Click "software", enter "quicken 2006" in the search field, and click "Go". I did this from Amazon.Com's home page.

This getting really embarrasing now. I did as Margaret said and still got my old results, witness URL

which is nothing like the URL from the OP, to wit,

What's really wierd is that while my original search pulled up the entire Quicken 2006 line, typing in the same information now pulls up books on Quicken 2005, etc. The tinyurl still pulls up the Quicken 2006 stuff though. I say, give it up, use the tinyurl. Perhaps Amazon is messing with their search engine. Other ideas?

I was able to open from the tiny url several days ago, but now it gives an Amazon error page. I suspect Amazon posted the 2006 stuff too soon and has now closed the page.

I agree the tiny url worked a few days ago. Amazon may have received word that there might be a delay in the release of the new version of Quicken due to feedback from the Quicken beta testers which results in changes needed to be made. .

still works as of Sunday 7/17 morning!

The tinyurl still works for me, too. I'm wondering if it's because I haven't cleared my browser's cache, since others can't make it work....
