i need a copy of 2008 quickens program... does anyone have a copy that i can buy

You don't need any special program or any special version to transfer files from one computer to another. Simply copy the files you want to transfer to a thumb drive or CD, then copy them from there to the other computer.
But if you want to buy a copy of Quicken 2008, you can get it at Amazon.com.

I believe that there is a way that may involve an intermediary version of Quicken to get your very old files "translated" into the single file used in current/recent versions of Quicken (not sure, but isn't Quicken 2008 still using sets of files for Quicken, rather than the single qdf file now in use?).
You aren't saying what your ultimate goal is, using Quicken 2008, or a more recent version.
