You are invited to participate in my research survey to understand Quicken users. I am a 20+ year user of Quicken and am currently doing research as part of a classroom project. I am currently a graduate student in the Mast ers Degree in Professional Communication program in the University of Alaba ma in Huntsville. Note: I do not work for Quicken.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY? We want to understand the backgrounds, attitudes and goals of Quicken users . FREEDOM TO WITHDRAW:
- You are free to withdraw from the study at any time.
- You will not be penalized because of withdrawal in any form. PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED IN THE STUDY:
- Participation in this study is completely voluntary.
- Once consent is given, you will be asked to complete an online survey.
- Through this survey, we will ask you questions about your background and use of Quicken.
DISCOMFORTS AND RISKS FROM PARTICIPATING IN THIS STUDY:
- We do not anticipate risks with your participation other than those encou ntered in everyday life.
- While our questions are not intended to cause discomfort, you may become upset recalling memories from your past. You can skip any questions you do not want to answer or stop the survey ent irely.
- Participant numbers will be used to record your data, and these numbers w ill be made available only to those researchers directly involved with this study, thereby ensuring strict confidentiality.
EXPECTED BENEFITS:
- You will receive no direct benefits from participating in this research s tudy. However, your responses may help the Quicken user community.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? This session will take approximately 5 - 10 minutes. INCENTIVES AND COMPENSATION FOR PARTICIPATION:
- For taking part in this study, you will be given a chance to win a $25 Am azon gift card to be chosen at random in the Winter of 2018/2019.
- If you wish to enter, you will receive instructions at the end of the sur vey. FUTURE RESEARCH:
- De-identified data (all identifying information removed) may be shared wi th other researchers.
- You will not be told specific details about these future research studies . CONFIDENTIALITY OF RESULTS:
- Participant numbers will be used to record your data, and these numbers w ill be made available only to those researchers directly involved with this study, thereby ensuring strict confidentiality.
- This consent form will be destroyed after 3 years.
- The data from your session will only be released to those individuals who are directly involved in the research and only using your participant numb er.
