Modify "Home" view?

I'm using Quicken 2005

I'd like to modify the format of the "Home" view.

Specifically, I want to remove the "Next steps to Meet your Financial Goals" section

I also want to move the section that contains the "Cash Flow Center" and "Investing Center" and "Property and Debts Center" from the right side of the screen to the left side of the screen (Where it USED to be, but it mysteriously moved to the right today).

Does anyone know how to do these things?

Also, Quicken periodically "Forgets" the vault password and I have to enter a new one and reset all of the individual online passwords. Is this a known problem?

Thanks for any help!

You can not customize the "Quicken Home" "Home" tab.

But there is no need to do so; you can construct your own tab for "Quicken Home" using "Create New View" and you can have that tab display when you click "Quicken Home".

You also can not control the exact placement of objects on the "Quicken Home" tabs; you can affect their relative order, but Quicken will determine exactly how they are placed.

As far as the "Account Bar" (which contains the bars for the "Cash Flow Center", "Investing Center", etc.);

Edit > Preferences > Setup

and click the appropriate radio button to place the Account Bar Display.

Not sure. There have been occasional problems reported with the Pin Vault, but I don't remember one where it forgot it's own password. You could try the same solution offered for other Pin Vault problems: "delete" the Pin Vault and re-create from scratch.

Online > Pin Vault > Delete

then

Online > Pin Vault > Set up
