Went there. Added the password. Tried to update my account. It asked for the vault pwd and then the account password. Entered and updated.
Went back to Add or Edit Passwords and the account password was gone. ???
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sounds like you may have some data corruption. I can think of several approaches you can try to cure the problem. Backup first.
1.) Validate. _ File > File Operations > Copy _ Open the Copy _ File > File Operations > Validate and Repair. Check "Validate file". Then click OK. If the Validate fixes the problem, continue to use the Validated Copy of your data.
2.) Deactivate the problem account (and any other account with the same user-id/password at the same financial institution) for downloading, then re-activate the account(s).
3.) Reset the Password Vault. Tools > Password Vault > Reset Vault. You may want to print the Vault before deleting to make it easier to re-enter the passwords.
[You said you use Quicken Bill Pay, but I'm not sure how that would be pertinent to your problem.]

Done. No joy.
Don't know how to deactivate an account. Sorry to be so ignorant.
Will try that next.
Thanks.

Reset did not remove the info about accounts in Vault. ????

Did you mean to deactivate On-line Banking Services for that account?
"Deactivating online banking service(s) removes the account from Update Now or One Step Update."
Thanks.

Sounds to my limited understanding of the problem that you don't have write access to the vault. Resetting the vault should have cleared everything. Are you an administrator on your system? Did you try saving your Quicken data file, uninstalling Quicken and reinstalling it?

????????? I just got back from doinga Quicken update and after I entered the Vault password, it went right to my bank without asking me for that account's password.
When it finished, I went to the Vault and found that it had a password for the bank.
Magic, I guess. :-)
