Reconcile Issue/Question

Using Quicken 2016 Home & Business w/ Windows 10

Issue: Downloaded my fidelity brokerage account and compared to my statements. After accepting 3-amounts (2-Dividend Reinvested & one Cash amount). Now when I try to reconcile, the two Dividends Reinvestments are displayed as zero amounts.

I suspect it shows as ZERO because Company "A" issued a dividend then did a reinvestment so the net amount is zero. The same for Company "B". This makes no sense to me.

Shouldn't the Reconciliation display the Dividend amount and the Reinvestment amount (net zero) per company so that I can check them off separately? The cash is of course listed separately.

Thanks

Quicken's "Reconcile" feature is used verify the cash impact of transactions. To verify the share impact of transactions, I suggest comparing the account holdings as of the statement's closing date.

The cash was consumed, by the Reinv, before it ever got to you. What's to reconcile, cash-wise.
