Quicken On Two Computers

I have Quicken Deluxe 2016 on two computers.

My computer shows two deposits and when I checked my bank, they also showed the same two deposits.

However, when I update Q on the other computer, the two deposits are not downloaded.

Have I done something wrong?

If you entered the deposits manually, you should manually enter the deposit s in the distinct data file on the other computer. If you entered the depo sits by importing transactions downloaded from a financial institution, you should import the transactions downloaded from the financial institution i n the distinct data file . If the data files are supposed to be the same, y ou should transfer the data file between the machines. Note: Quicken is no t designed to access a data file over a network.

Instead of attempting to maintain duplicate data files and Quicken installa tions, I suggest using Windows Remote Desktop to access a common Quicken an d data file.

I didn't enter the deposits.

I updated quicken. It logged on to my bank account and downloaded the information from there. I don't import, per se.

I'm trying to have two distinct but identical installations of Quicken.

I'll look into that.

If one PC is a laptop that you use when traveling I suggest using an SD card for data in the "home" PC and then placing it into the laptop for traveling.

For backup copy from the SD card to a folder on the "home" PC.

Thanks anyway.
