Need help setting up retirement account

How would I set up a retirement account which has a kind of mutual fund -- that is, there are shares & they have prices -- and also an interest-bearing account. The latter (in fact it is the TIAA Standard Annuity) is like a savings account in a way. I don't know what to call it in Quicken. It could be like a stock account whose share price is always $1 or it could be like a bank savings account. None of the Quicken account choices seem to quite fit.

I'll be most grateful for any advice. Many thanks & good wishes to all.

I have a TIAA-CREF account. The account is setup as a tax-deferred Brokerage account in Quicken (if you want to download, this is the account type ... not a savings account - TIAA-CREF actually creates its own ticker symbols for its non-publicly traded securities). I setup the fixed annuity fund as a security like a money market fund; all shares priced at $1. Works fine.
