New Account setup problems

I just created a new account designated as a "cash" account, for no better choice. Trouble is, it only has one line instead of two like all my other a ccounts. Why is this and how can I correct? The second line which usually has the memo block etc is just not there. I find this very strange and hav e never run into this problem before, in all the years of updates. Can anyone give me a clue as what to look for or what can cause this proble m? I want to set up another account but now can's seem to do so. Please Help/Lee

1-line vs. 2-line is a toggle change. Click CTRL-2, while in the particula r account, to make the change.

The fact that your register has a one-line/transaction display is not preventing you from having the Memo field (or any other register field) displayed.

In versions of Quicken since at least Q2013, directly above the vertical slider in a non-investment account register is a small gear-wheel icon. Click on that gear-wheel icon and you can select which fields (columns) Quicken will display in that register.

[Prior to the existence of the option to choose individual register fields (columns), there was a Register "Preference" to "Show Memo in one-line display".]
