Official Quicken Forum - becoming useless for feedback

With all the various "Announcements" of probs and "looking into it" over on the official Quicken forum, with little feedback, status, or resolution... Its pretty much useless to go over there or follow threads.

Also - any of the discusssions tend to get CLOSED for comments, so there are no more comments, discusssions, or additions to existing threads... nice and clean and tidy -

NO probs here - move along -

Loading thread data ...

That would be because that forum is for user to user support ... NOT for feedback to Intuit and NOT for complaints ... which you were already told in that Forum.

It's your repeated complaints that are getting closed.

AND, you were shown the link to where the Feedback site IS located.

wow - you must be one of the "volunteers" that reads the postings, and then immediately closes them..... not just mine - ANY that report a new problem.

  1. Message gets posted about a new or existing problem.
  2. The "volunteer" posts a reply to "review" other messages.
  3. The "volunteer" posts a reply to "review" the Intuit reply.
  4. The "volunteer" closes the thread for any further comments.

The Intuit "Annopuncement" merely indicates... yes, it's a problem, and that it was "looked into" 3 or 4 weeks ago, and it's a problem with a 3rd party vendor.

The Intuit "Feedback" thread is closed & locked, and re-directs to basically a "Feedback Survey" for what you would like to see in future versions...

So, we have R8 trashed the files along with the Mobile Sync Is there a good way to apply R8 - or should we just stay away from ALL Q patches. (I am)

And now have a bogus set of stock "splits" getting introduced from their 3rd-party data supplier.

With NO real feedback, NO real info, NO real status update, and NO directions for resolution of either problem completely.

You forgot, the "volunteer" closes YOUR thread because it's only a gripe, not anything that other users can help with ... and directs you to the Intuit complaint webpage.

Well expressed, ps56K. I'm just grateful that THIS group exists. I am a lon gtime Quicken user (from DOS days) and I am disgusted and furious. I have w asted many hours trying to deal with continually-worsening software; the ab ility to share my frustrations with like-minded others provides sorely-need ed comfort. The only assured way to improve our situation is if INTU starts hitting new 52-week lows. I hope we can make that happen!

"(from the DOS days} ... I remember them well. I'm not sure if it started on Ward Christensen's CBBS or Compuserve's CIS but I do remember many conversations about Quicken on the CIS Financial Forum. There was always a very knowledgeable Quicken employee who would help out. Everything was done on a 256K disl-up modem. Those were the days!!!
