OT: What (Free) USENET group to access this Quicken NG?

I'm using: news.solani.org Geo.

Thanks Geo., but unfortunately when I went to the REGISTER page, in German, I get " Vorübergehend keine Anmeldungen - Aufgrund eines starken Anstiegs missbräuchlicher Nutzung sind vorübergehend keine neuen Anmeldungen möglich. " which translates to "Temporarily no registrations - Due to a sharp increase in abusive use, new registrations are temporarily not possible."

Bummer!

I use news.individual.net, which is very reliable; while it is not free, it only costs 10 Euros for a year. I know that some people use Eternal September, which is free, and I believe is reliable, but I have no personal experience of it.

If you are just accessing text groups, I'd use AstraWeb. It's not free, but a block account with $10 or $25 of credit will cover years of use.

I also use it, like it, and find it extremely reliable.

I used to use that, but stopped after it had several outages.

NO to Google groups--they are just one big cluster f*ck

I've used eternal september for many years--works just fine--in all that time just one outage--server failure--had to be replaced

Sharx335- thanks for this lead (and others also mentioned Eternal September). Took a little figuring out on my end using Thunderbird but I got it.

I also wish to thank the others who gave me other names as well; I'll keep that information in case September bellys up as well.
