There are several sources of payees; most allow payees to be deleted directly, one only allows indirect deletes.

You can delete payees directly from all of the above.

There is another source of payees - which is the transactions you have entered. There is no way to directly delete those payees - they must be there to allow you to select which payees' transactions you want to appear in reports.

The only way to remove payees from that source is to delete all the transactions that use that payee (or rename that payee in all the transactions where it appears).

Thanks for your response. On second thought maybe it is not a good idea to delete those payees
