Please help with Quicken Startup

Apr 08, 2005 1 Replies

I'm using Quicken 2003 Deluxe, Windows ME :(, Pentium 4, 512 RAM, 17 gig free on a 40 gig HD

Trying to do a scan disk in safe mode which does not work . . . unticked everything in startup using msconfig however when I rebooted as instructed, Quicken Startup (C:\Quicken\qwdlls.exe) was ticked again.

I am assuming that Quicken Startup is interfering with the running of Scan Disk.

Would it be safe to rename C:\Quicken\qwdlls.exe to verify my assumption? Don't want to jeopardize all my data. Or is there a better way?

Your help will be appreciated Ron

I forgot to mention that there are two instances of Quicken Startup under the startup tab in msconfig. One will stay unticked.
