Problems Migrating From Quicken 2006 for Windows to Quicken 2007 Mac

I'm in the process of migrating from Windows to Mac. One of the programs I'm using is Quicken. I loaded and after a little tweaking was able to move my accounts and transactions to the Mac. My problem is setting up a direct connect to my financial institutions. I can't get it to go.

For example, several of my accounts are with Bank of America. When I call them they didn't seem to know much about the Mac. Eventually they told me they didn't support Safari, only IE and that I needed it to install the direct connect. I asked if they meant a web download and they said "no, and web browser is needed for the direct connect as well."

This is very confusing to me but and I just forced to load a version of Windows on my Mac to run Quicken so I can do a one step update?

Any suggestions appreciated.
