Q 2007 H&B Toolbar icons missing

I've been using Q 2007 H&B for months, since about the time it became available retail. Updated to R4 when it was released.

Toolbar at the top was displaying both icons and text, even after R4 update. I accidentally turned off the Account Bar display (down the left side); when I turned it back on, the Toolbar changed to just text.

I go into Edit->Preferences. Set display back to icons and text. Save the file and close Quicken. When I re-open the file, the Toolbar has returned to text only.

Scanned the Registry (WinXP Pro SP2) and can't find any key value that jumps out as being the control for this display.

Anyone seen this, heard of it, have hints or a solution?

Thanks in advance, Stephen.

I tried to duplicate what you did; I did not get the results you did. Like yours, my Account Bar was/is on the left.

I right-clicked in the Account Bar, left-clicked on "Hide Account Bar" ... and the Account Bar went away. But nothing about my toolbar icons changed; they still had both icons and text.

Then I clicked on the small semi-circle located where the top-left of the Account Bar used to be ... which restored the Account Bar. Again, nothing about my toolbar icons changed; they still had both icons and text.

I repeated the test, exiting Quicken in between hiding the account bar and restoring it ... no change. Everything stayed as it was before hiding the Account Bar.
