Q H&B 2004 Portfolio Income total has changed

Until last week sometime, in Portfolio view, my Income column totaled only for the current year for each security. Now it appears to be totalling for the entire holding period. I can't remember where an option for this would be or changing anything at all in my Quicken setup. Any ideas on what has happened?

Can't speak for Q2004, but Q2005 and Q2006 make it pretty clear that $Income is total income, not current year income; hard to imagine Intuit sneaking in a retroactive change to Q2004 (and I did not see any description of a change in that definition in the modifications listed for the five releases of Q2004). Possibly you were coincidentally looking at securities that only had income in the current year when you got your impression that $Income could only be for the current year?

In the portfolio view - look under Options > Preferences.

There is the option to 'Show Return Calculations for'; choices are Entire History or a specific date.

Your choice effects the income reported.

JM,

Changing that option to year to date certainly improved things, but I swear I never changed it in the first place. I haven't done ANY Quicken configuration changes for months, maybe longer. I have some backups and may try to narrow down the date when things changed. It's too weird to just have happened by magic. Thanks for the tip.
