Quicken 2005 Basic freezes

I have Quicken 2005 Basic.

Quicken freezes when I go to any account, go to scheduled transactions, and then click on "Manage full list".

This behavior just started today.

I've performed a File/Validate on my file, and it says that the file's fine.

Any suggestions?

But not if you go to Cash Flow > Scheduled Transaction List?

Or to the Home page, Bills and Scheduled Transactions > Manage Full List?

Yes, it freezes when I try Cash Flow > Scheduled Transaction List.

Is this a known problem?

Not that I'm aware of; I was just trying to gather some additional data - and to determine if there was a workaround that would allow you to use your Scheduled Transaction List by some means.

I believe it is probably caused by data corruption, despite the results of your Validation. Have you tried super-Validate (just like Validate, but you hold down CTRL+SHIFT from just before you click Validate until you see the super-validate message box)?

I tried "Super Validate", but it reported no errors.

Is this something that Intuit would help me with?

Before paying for Intuit help try the following:

  1. Backup your data
  2. Uninstall q05
  3. Reboot
  4. Install q05
  5. Get all patches (I believe 05 was at r4)
  6. Open data & see if the problem persists. Good luck
