2005: Quicke XG: Red Flag stuck

I use Quicken XG 2005. In the Cash Flow Centre, I have a red flag that sits to the left of some of my accounts. This occurs when I download transactions from my bank, and after I finish my reconciliation, it goes away.

However, I have a flag that just doesn't seem to want to go away. When I hove rmy cursor over it, it has 2 parts, the top part re-tells me the name of the account, and the lower part states "You Have New Transactions". However, I have no new transactions, AND I have no scheduled transactions (Cash Flow --> Cash Flow Centre --> Bills and Scheduled Transactions) shows it is empty.

Any idea how to remove this red flag?

From Quicken support. It worked for me.

In this case, I would suggest you to please go to Online menu in Quicken , then to online center. If you see any downloaded transactions here, please click on 'Compare to Register'. This will get the transactions at the bottom of the register so that you can accept them into the register.

If this does not help, please follow the steps provided below:- 1. Please click File -> File Operations -> Copy. Click OK, then please select New Copy and then again click OK. After that make sure you select "new copy" when the copy process is finished.

  1. Please click File -> File Operations -> Validate, select the new copied file and click OK. Then again click OK.
  2. Please press "CTRL+shift" keys together and at the same time click File -> File Operations -> Validate, select the new copied file and click OK. Then again click OK. This will super validate the data file.

Then please use the Cpy file and check the issue again. Incase if you are able to see downloaded transactions in the Cpy file, please ignore the original file going forward and continue using the Cpy file.
