I've been a Quicken user (with MoneyCounts before them) since 1990 or so. I can say, without a doubt, that Quicken 2009 is the worst- quality program that they have ever put out of the eight versions or so I've used. I totally resent that Intuit forced me to "upgrade" to this garbage from Quicken 2006.
Over the past four months, the program just totally freezes up every two weeks or so. No response whatsoever. The only thing that can be done is to kill it with Task Manager.
Then yesterday, the program came up with twenty new, duplicate "scheduled transactions" that were actually a restaurant purchase that I made weeks ago. Nothing to do with scheduled transactions. Can't delete them. When I validate (or super-validate) the file, it says it
7 to 24 bad scheduled transactions, but when I restart the program, there are still bad scheduled transactions.
Is there any good alternative out there with reasonably-similar functionality, including online bill paying?
