Does any version of Quicken handle the purchase of puts and calls, the sale of covered calls and similar strategies?
does 06 download option prices?
Currently, let's say I write a covered call against a holding of 1000 shares of XOM. Let's say it's the Sept 60 and I sell it for $1.25.
with version 04 Premiere, I enter the sale as a "short sale" since I really don't own the option, only the underlying stock position. Instead of entering it as 10 contracts, '04 requires me to enter it as 1000 shares (10 contracts of 100 shares/contract).
Has any of this been improved?
