memo field

Hi,



First of all, I am new to quicken software.



I have quicken version 7.0 and am trying to download files from my bank. The transaction type is bank. I notice the memo field has the following format: MRef=item 345,Part3456******3,Code=*567testtestt



I am unable to upload this file to quicken. My questions are:



  1. Is asterick a valid character for memo field?
  2. If it is not a valid character, what other invalid characters for memo field?

Hi, Wens.

I note that you are posting from a .nz address. In the US, Intuit dropped numbers like 7.0 for Quicken versions several years ago; they now use Quicken 2006, for example, incrementing the year number with the new release about August of each year. I have no idea what numbering, naming or other schemes they use in countries other than the US.

Could you tell us precisely which version of Quicken you are using? Is it a special version for NZ?
