Quicken 2005 Deluxe Memo Field

When I enter info in the memo field for a Payee, quicken makes that the default memo field entry for transactions with the Payee in the future. Anyway to make it stop? The rest of the default info is fine.

Go into the memorized transaction list and "lock" the transaction after you empty the memo field. Change the amount to zero, too.

Thanks. I assume the "cleared" check box will lock the transaction.

No. You want to go to the "Memorized Payee List" and look at the column called "Lock."
