In previous versions of Q a specific group of .dat files could be edited to remove the hyperlink information under the [DisplayData] tag. (I'm doing this from memory - the exact details may be slightly off.)
In the latest version, removing the hyperlink info from the .dat files doesn't impact the display of the annoying messages in the bottom right corner of the register window.
Does anyone know how to remove it?

Where else do you see ads in the program? I've been waiting for an ads-free Quicken.
There is *one* hyperlink encouraging the user to use Zipingo to rate payees. That's all I've seen in QP2006. Hardly noticeable IMNSHO.

Yes, but annoying nonetheless. To me, its worse than Quicken filling my desktop with shortcuts to unwanted services. If they wish to use a piece of software as an ad vehicle, then give it out for free. I've been a hard core Quicken user since 1990 and its getting worse and worse.
Now the real question would be is the Zipingo payee rater one of the highly-touted but unspecified 120 user requested improvements?
