Unfortunately the R5 patch has problems. I completely uninstalled QW, reinstalled and was offered the R5 patch again and it prevents QW from running after being applied. Patch log looks fine.
Has anyone else here installed R5? Are Arthur Conan Doyle's problems unique to him or has everyone had the same experience? Should I install it?
And Arthur, you say QD; does that mean Quicken Deluxe?
Yes, QD means Quicken Deluxe. Problem has been reported by others on the Intuit web site:
OK, thanks. I'll avoid it, then, at least until I hear it's been fixed.
Try downloading the Update (not the Mondo) first from here

Just a suggestion. When posting a problem also mention which version of Windows you are using. Sometimes there might be a common thread, such as if the problem only occurs with those on Windows 10.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++FWIW - I updated just now. No problems. Everything works just fine.

For what it's woth, I have no problem installing the patch. The patch install log is perfectly clean as well. The problem is that Quciken doesn't run after the patch is installed with no obvious error message.
Win 10/64, Build 14279
I did look in the Windows event log and it appears the patch problem has something to do with the version of .Net that Intuit is using and the latest release of Win 10.
The Mondo patch corruption issue is all over the Intuit forum, but no response yet.
Today is Microsoft Update Tuesday, and I just updated Windows 10. The computer rebooted, and I have Quicken loading automatically at startup. So before I knew it, R5 was downloaded and installed.
I'm happy to say that I have no problems with it.
