QD 2016 R4 Install Fail

Accepted the R4 patch this weekend, this morning QD wouldn't run.Windows 10/64 showed a .net4 fail in the event viewer. Uninstalled, reinstalled and allowed updates to be downloaded, same problem. Downloaded and installed the R4 mondo patch, things were fixed.

It appears that the incremental patch does not include all the necessary components.

For what it's worth, all four "R" updates to Quicken Premiere 2016 fail for me. I mean, the update does not even complete. I resorted to the mondo patch to obtain each of the "R" updates.

And on the other side of the coin, (except for R3 that didn't 'finish', but when I cancelled the task and restarted, all was well), all the incremental updates work fine.

I suspect that individual configurations are to 'blame'.

I'm retired and have an accountant handle my tax returns now that costs about $500 a year. He says that my return is one of the hardest he deals with as I have an irreversible trust, a coupe of other trusts (set up to deal with nursing homes), a number of Master Limited Partnerships and a few Limited Partnerships in addition to the normal IRAs and regular investment accounts. How does TT deal with these type of accounts? Am I just trading my time for the accountants time? Being not an accountant, would TT lead me through the paperwork to file? R. Wink
